About Benjamin

Benjamin Ligan is a marketing graduate of The Ohio State University Fisher College of Business, currently based in Charlotte, North Carolina. He is training for the Charleston Half Marathon and writes about what actually works — building a base, managing pace, running through summer heat, fueling on long runs, and staying consistent through a full-time work schedule.

During his time at Ohio State, Benjamin competed on the Men’s Club Volleyball team for four years, traveling nationally and contributing to two national runner-up finishes. The discipline that shaped his time as a college athlete now shapes his approach to long-distance running.

His approach to running is straightforward: show up, stay consistent, trust the process.

“The habits that build durable careers are the same ones that build lasting athletic performance — patience, preparation, and showing up every day.”

— Benjamin Ligan
